Today, the Wayne County Commission’s Economic Development Committee is hearing a presentation at 10 a.m. on Civil War Sesquicentennial Activities and opportunities for Heritage Tourism associated with those events in the county. The meeting is taking take place at the Commission’s 7th floor hearing room in the Guardian Building, 500 Griswold, Detroit.
Alan C. Helmkamp, assistant Wayne County executive, is making the presentation. He has asked yours truly to attend and discuss Wayne County’s commemorative participation in the context of statewide Heritage Tourism efforts planned for 2011 through 2015.
